The wedding industry is always changing and evolving with the times. As such, there are many vendors out that can fit your style, budget and needs whatever they may be. They are your guide into the world of weddings and events. It can be hard to find that one vendor who just gets your personal style and needs. So, we have a created a little question guide to ask yourself when meeting with vendors to help shine a little on the subject!
First question, do they have my date available? This really should be the first question you should ask yourself. You don’t want to get your heart set on a particular vendors only to find that they are already booked on your day. Luckily, sources such as the Knot and the Wedding Wire (among others) have a calendar feature where you can see if that date is blocked out. Another way to check before talking with them? A quick search of their social media. This isn’t always a guarantee way, but almost all vendors advertise which dates are available and which aren’t.
Your second questions should be are they a licensed business? When planning an wedding or event, you should only work with licensed companies. This will help protect you, the host of that event, in the case of something going wrong. You can find this out by simply asking them during your initial communications or meeting.
Third question really should be are they insured? Once again, when you are planning a wedding or event, you should only work with insured companies. This protect you in case if something happens with that vendors, their insurance will cover it (and it won’t fall on you!). Make sure to ask this question during your initial meeting.
The fourth question is one of the most ones (well, they are all really important!) and that is can I get along with this vendor for the entire planning process and my wedding day? This is a question that only you can ask yourself and your partner. You have to be able to mesh with your vendor team in order to actually enjoy your wedding day!
So when in doubt, hire a professional! Your vendor team is so vital to how seamless your wedding day will seem. Another reason to hire a wedding pro is that if something goes wrong, they can take of it before you even notice.
